Kibbe Mosul

 

This is the national dish of northern Iraq namely Mosul. The outside is made of beef with crushed wheat; the inside is lamb with onions and spices. They vary from the size of a side plate to the size of a serving plate. The Kibbe are then boiled, they are eaten hot with a side salad and pickles.
